Saltburn Residences is a three-dwelling residential development located on Saltburn Avenue in Milford, just metres from the popular Milford Beach. Commissioned by a private client for extended family use, the project was conceived as a long-term family compound rather than a conventional speculative development.

The design brings together three distinct homes, each tailored to the needs of different family members, while maintaining a strong sense of cohesion and shared identity. A shared driveway and landscaped outdoor spaces form the organisational spine of the site, carefully balancing privacy with proximity. Consistent materiality, controlled massing, and layered thresholds help the development integrate comfortably into its suburban coastal context.

Saltburn Residences explores a more personal approach to medium-density housing, demonstrating how thoughtful planning and shared infrastructure can support multi-generational living while preserving independence and a high quality of residential amenity.
